Expecting the Unexpected on Your Wedding Day | Quality Life ...

Weddings can bring out the best and worst in everyone and definitely the crazy in a few. Whether it?s your overbearing mother-in-law, or the best man having a few too many before the ceremony, plenty of unexpected things can occur on your wedding day. One thing you can expect is that something will go wrong?be it the DJ shows up late, the cake melts in the summer heat, or your wedding dress fits a bit too snug. Keep an open mind and realize that this is your wedding day?good or bad?it?s the best day of your life. Pay attention to what is important and don?t listen to your crazy bridesmaids when they dish out complaints about their dresses resembling 1970?s glamour shots. It will all be fine in the end, but if it doesn?t work out and you have a true disaster on your hands, think of the positive in that you will have a great story to retell for the rest of your life.

Family Arguments

It wouldn?t be a wedding unless there was a family argument. Family arguments usually occur early on in the wedding planning process, but just because you think the issues are resolved, doesn?t mean your family always agrees. Often times, family arguments carry over to the actual wedding day. Pick a close friend to keep your crazy family members at bay, so that you can enjoy your day in peace.

Bad Guests

A bad guest can come in many forms. It could be the overly drunk guest, the downright rude one, or the groomsman who hits on everyone?even your married Aunt Bertha. Many guests like to make the day about them instead of realizing the day is all about the bride and groom. Don?t feed into this type of guest?s antics and focus on you and your beloved.

Photographers from Hell

A common complaint from brides is that their photographers didn?t pay attention to their wants and needs. Voice your complaints early on so that you get the pictures you want and not just the glamour shots the photographers wants for their website. It?s your wedding, so you should have a clear game plan of who you want in your pictures and where you want them taken.

Forgetting the Rings

As you focus on the bigger picture items, don?t forget about the smaller things like the wedding rings. Forgetting the ring at home or back at the hotel is one of the most common wedding mishaps. If this happens to you, don?t fret, borrow a ring from a relative or a member of the wedding party.
